Renovation digs into the books of Ezra and Nehemiah containing stories of renewal and restoration. In Ezra the returning exiles build an altar and a temple. They worship and Ezra leads them in spiritual renewal as well. We have our own story of renovation; renovating our church, our minds and our souls.

Nehemiah is a lay leader with great compassion. He leads a group of people to return to Jerusalem and rebuilds the walls. The walls provide safety allowing the community to thrive and prosper. Later in Nehemiah the poor cry out to him. He is moved to help many of the people having difficult times during the famine. We too are called to help the poor in our church and community.
